Plinth 7
ObjectDetails
A hand-smoothed shallow depression rests atop a carved recessed base. The detailing is developed from the forms of ancient Roman aqueduct segments chiseled from the stone trachyte. The lip functioned as a method of joining one segment to the next. As an object, the shallow catch-all rests quietly as functional sculpture, uniquely rooted in history but strikingly modern.
Every work offered is assigned a unique numerical reference, ensuring its individuality. What you see is precisely what you will receive. We will never ask you to expect variation in natural stone because we believe that what’s rare and authentic should be appreciated as it is—unique, timeless, and undeniably yours.
M.FISHER works exclusively with remnant blocks and small boulders from around the globe. Every piece we create is meticulously crafted from materials chosen for their distinct beauty. Each selection is a deliberate homage to its cultural and geological heritage, allowing these timeless stones to resonate in ways that honor their origins.
