These pieces belong to the beginning. Milled from solid brass at the start of the studio, the candleholder was among the first objects to articulate what would become a defining tension in the practice, the negotiation between geometric precision and organic resolution. A slightly tapered cylinder rises from the base, transitioning through a stem to a platform detailed with a rounded lip. The conversation between the controlled and the yielding, the machined and the felt, has remained central to every body of work that followed. It is visible here in its earliest form. These are the final pieces from the original production.
