Object 16, Stacking Cup & Plate
ObjectDetails
Inspired by the revelry of the ancient comissatio—the Roman banquet where wine and conversation f lowed late into the night—this cup and plate set captures the spirit of festive gathering. Each cup is uniquely made from the tailstock remnant left behind when a larger form is parted from the lathe—a thoughtful reuse that transforms offcut into object. Similarly, the plates are shaped from the preparation cuts taken when squaring raw material before fabrication.
Every work offered is assigned a unique numerical reference, ensuring its individuality. What you see is precisely what you will receive. We will never ask you to expect variation in natural stone because we believe that what’s rare and authentic should be appreciated as it is—unique, timeless, and undeniably yours.
